Metropolis 1927 Dir. Fritz Lang (top 2 images) is a classic stylish sci-fi and one of my favourite all time films & was the main reference for me in my makeup research & design for the Numero shoot (bottom 2 images) with model Karmen Pedaru shot by photographers Luciana Val & Franco Musso. I used M.A.C White ChromaCake made wet with M.A.C fix + so as to adhere to the face and the body and stay put under the lighting without transferring on to the clothes. I then used white loose powder all over using a velvet powder puff and brushes to set and for the beauty part of the makeup I used all shades of ochres, taupes, nudes & browns from MAC Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier with a dark chocolate lip which I made from brown lipsticks by Iman and MAC. By only using these shades on the matte white base it gave a modern fashion interpretation; an original look that was cool chic elegant whilst eliminating the possibility of anything harsh as there was no black at all used in this makeup. Just brown baby, just brown.
