All genres, all women all films from film noir to sci fi and I get my inspiration everywhere and anywhere. I bought the book Hammer Glamour. The way that Hammer women look really influenced me growing up and still that dark and dangerous beauty is much closer to my heart than a sweet Sandra Dee type any day. Get the book its good, really good. The image in the centre is a shoot I did recently with legendary photographer Ellen Von Unwerth for Vogue with model Ranya Mordanova. It was based on Elizabeth Bathory a 16thC female aristocrat associated with bathing in the blood of virgins in order to stay young. I decided to try a smoky dirty eye, a short thin eyebrow and a two tone lip for a dark, sexy and slightly demonic feeling.
