While everyone I know is watching Breaking Bad I just watched Breaking Glass the 1980 classic British film again. The star is musician Hazel O’Connor and featuring Phll Daniels too (who I had a crush on when i first saw Quadrophenia) Anyway this film that can now be ordered on Amazon or Love Film is about an ambitious singer who wants to rise to the top and lets nothing stand in her way. Nothing!!!! It’s rather fabulous but also kind of terrible too. The makeup, costume & music is a must watch with some rather splendid fashion references & inspiration to be found here.
