During hectic stressful times at fashion week I have in jest referred to the frantic backstage area as a war zone and the seated area for the show as the front line but I never really would compare the two seriously. In these images one is a sad horrific subject matter and the other is a beautiful subject matter. It is interesting to see the 2 side by side not necessarily as art or controversy but because the photographer’s style, composition & cropping is similar and the subject matter is polar opposite. Seeing these images provokes thought, debate and discussion.
