It seems that in women’s beauty trends the bigger the brow the better: think Cara Delevingne, Arizona Muse, Jacquelyn Jablonski et all. However the reverse trend seems to be gaining popularity amongst the men folk. Yes that is right I am talking about chaps with ultra groomed mega waxed full on lady brows. This beauty abomination (cue Western Film music and rolling lonesome tumbleweed) has been joked about with the Jersey Shore guidos who are totally hairless (we know smoother gym chest and todger seems massive)  and accepted and a little ignored for old golden balls himself David Beckham but now in every pub across the world one spots an uber groomed eyebrow man in a collar up Hackett top or a Rick Owens number, you choose & get the visualisation. It’s all very well to go see a waxer to fix your mono-brow if you are self conscious about your wayward brows or if you look like Cousin It but it must be noted that one requests man brows not a mega thin tapered out brow as the final result. Bringing on a cold sweat thinking about it. In fact the last time I really liked a skinny brow on anyone was on 90’s goddess Pamela Anderson as seen with Sunday morning hangovers watching Baywatch re-runs. There is a total exception made for period film such as Cabaret and La Vie En Rose or conceptual beauty shoots in Vogue Italia but they are still on women not men. So if you or a man you know still feels the need to to wax on wax off here are some of the best spots to visit in London, NY & Paris. Londoners head to Shavata, Lashbar, Get Lashed or (my personal favourite just for the name) Browhaus, New Yorkers keep themselves groomed at Benefit, Wink, Shobha or Sania’s Brow Bar and Parisians maintain their brows at Stella or Atelier du Sourcil. And with brow bars popping up all over the place quicker than burger bars just make sure you have some privacy, self respect & dignity by refraining from doing it in a mall for everyone to watch and make sure your brows aren’t the talking point because in this case remaining passive & non-judgemental is not an option.
