Speed is good. No I’m not talking Sandra Bullock on a runaway bus or Nicholas Cage driving angrily but I’m talking about the times when you have 5 minutes from the end of a work day to heading out on the town to recreate something that indicates that of course you always look this fresh after 8 hours of air con and zero natural daylight. Having experienced this many a time, I now have some quick fixers that I always rely on in a time of emergency. ThisWorks In Transit collection is pretty much designed for these scenarios, use the No Traces pads to cleanse and prep the skin then moisturise with Camera Close Up which will act as a primer as well, they are also small enough to fit in a desk drawer as trust me you will be using these again another time. If you don’t quite have time for the cleaning off of the day use Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Skin Energy Mist which is purse size and can be sprayed over makeup to refresh. For the base I like Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua as it is brightening with a good amount of coverage and small enough to fit in a makeup bag. For the fastest smoky eye I love the Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Sticks, in particular the shade Bark. Run it around the upper and lower lashes then smudge with a finger, once on it is budgeproof. Always keep an eyelash curler to hand as even if you are feeling shattered at the end of the day a curled lash will make you feel wide awake, I’ve also just discovered individual eye drops so you don’t need to carry a whole bottle. If you need to do face touch ups try the Laura Mercier Flawless Face Book which has concealer, powder and base all in one. Also for that extra glow I like to keep NARS The Multiple in Copacabana or Daniel Sandler Watercolour Creme Bronzer handy for adding shine to cheekbones, bridge of nose and cupids bow. Finally if you want the wow factor, add in a lip. I like to keep MAC’s 6 Editorial Red’s Lip Palette to hand so I have a red for every occasion.
