Here is my exciting new beauty story for the recent issue of Purple shot by Katja Rahlwes, styling by Tom Van Dorpe, hair by Marc Lopez and featuring gorgeous new model Zlata Mangafic. The shoot was about referencing different characters and moods so I created looks including glitter, pigments and Blade Runner style eyes using all MAC Cosmetics. To prep her skin so that it was looked after for the whole shoot I gave a mini facial using Careblend Essential Oils, sealing in the moisture with Mineralized Charged Water Gel , then using Fast Response Eye Cream under the eyes and Lip Conditioner to moisturise the lips. For all the looks I wanted to keep a consistent, flawless matte base so I used Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation with Select Cover Up Concealer for any extra coverage. Prep + Prime Highlighter in Bright Forecast was used under the eyes for any dark shadows and then the base was set with Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder to keep away any shine. For the first look I created a blown out, squared off shape around the eye using Fluidline in Blitz & Glitz with a fluffy brush to keep it soft and diffused at the edges then lining the entire waterline with Eye Kohl in Smolder. Lashes were curled and then layered up with Haute & Naughty Too Black Lash Mascara with an emphasis on the bottom lashes. For a soft contour on the cheek I used Powder Blush in Harmony and then added a hint of nude on the lip using Cremesheen Lipstick in Shy Girl. For the second look I wanted a paler base so used Chromacake in Pure White to create a sheer white base, blocking out the lip colour at the same time. In the crease I used Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Constructivist and then Eye Kohl in Fascinating along the lashline to make it really stand out. For the oversized, fluttery lash I added strip lashes in 34 Lash and then Zoom Lash in Lofty Brown to keep the overall effect softer. Look three was all about pops of colour so to go with the amazing green hair I added a neon indigo eye and perfect red lip. First I rimmed the eyes with Chromaline in Marine Ultra then went over this with Eyeshadow in Atlantic Blue and added Zoom Lash Mascara in Blue Charge to intensify the colour. Lips were outlined with Lip Pencil in Cherry then filled in with Lipstick in Ruby Woo for a matte finish. For look four it was about a hard glamour so I used Cream Colour Base in Dusk over the eyelid with Glitter in Gold pressed over the top and a full strip of false lashes in 1 Lash lined with Fluidline in Blacktrack. For a warm contour I used Cremeblend Blush in Ladyblush and added a slight shine to lips with Clear Lipglass pressed on with a finger. With look five I kept the same contour and covered the lips in 3D Silver Glitter keeping the shape perfect. For look six I wanted a vibrant eye that would come through with the heavy fringe so opted for Eye Kohl in Minted with Pigment in Teal all around the upper and lower lash line. Lashes were mega curled and then layered up with Opulash Mascara then finally Mineralize Rich Lipstick in Posh Tone was pushed onto the mouth. Look seven had a punk feel and I used a combination of Eyeshadows in Gesso, Chrome Yellow, Orange and Red Brick in a graphic winged style, highlighted underneath with Eye Kohl in Fascinating and paired with bare lips and lots of Plush Lash Mascara. With looks eight and nine I wanted more of a painterly feel so I created highlights and contours using Paintsticks in Pure White, Genuine Orange & True Chartreuse for look seven then just scattered on extra Pigments in Red, Magenta Madness, Neo-Orange, Golden Lemon & Dark Soul for look eight.
