Here is my latest shoot for the August issue of Vogue Russia shot by Daniel Riera, styling by Azza Yousif, hair by Sebastien Richard and featuring the beautiful Katlin Aas. The story featured fine jewellery and stunning underwear so I designed the makeup to reflect a cinematic, Golden Age Hollywood with a deep, dark red lip and luminous skin. To prep the skin I cleansed thoroughly and then did a facial massage using Codage Serum No. 3 before sealing in moisture with Decleor Aroma Lisse Energizing Smoothing Cream. For a sheer, glowing base I used Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Foundation mixed with Tom Ford Illuminating Primer buffed into the skin, Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer was used where needed and then YSL Touche Eclat under the eyes to brighten up darkness. I created a very soft contour under the cheekbones with Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate before highlighting with Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Skin Lighting Liquid. Brows were ignored and lashes were curled before adding three coats of MAC Haute & Naughty Mascara. For that perfect dark red lip I first outlined with MAC Cremestick Liner in Red Enriched before going straight in with the bullet of Lipstick Queen Velvet Rope in Black Tie keeping the finish matte and flawless.
