This shoot is from the September issue of Vogue Germany and is shot by Katja Rahwles featuring model Niki Trefilova, styling by Nicola Knels & hair by Chi Wong. I loved Niki’s freckles and colouring so wanted to keep the makeup natural & fresh then adding in fun pops of colour with the blue shadow and red & bronze lips. As I didn’t use any base I spend a good amount of time on skincare using African Botanics Pure Marula Oil to give a facial massage to plump & hydrate the skin. Under eyes were de puffed with Creme de la Mer The Eye Concentrate using the metal tip to cool as it goes onto the skin and lips were scrubbed with Bliss Fabulips Sugar Lip Scrub then hydrated with Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm. I love this balm as it’s matte finish makes it appear you are not wearing anything but have naturally super soft lips. I didn’t want to use powder so if there was unwanted shine I simply blotted with a tissue, the body was also moisturised thoroughly with Kiehls Creme de Corps. For the bright blue eyes I used MAC Chromaline in Cyan buffed across the eyelid but kept the lashes free of mascara, lips were a bold bright red using NARS Lip Liner Pencil in Jungle Red and Tom Ford Lip Colour Matte in Ruby Rush. I love keeping the makeup clean and fresh then adding subtle colours to the lips. For the metallic bronze lip I used Bobbi Brown Lip Colour Shimmer Finish in Brown Shimmer and then brushed a small amount of MAC Pigment in Copper for added dimension. Finally I also used a cold berry tone using Topshop Lips in Boardroom for that slightly off natural lip colour.
