There are cultures across the world where a lighter skin tone is the goal and thousands of skin lightening creams and potions are readily available and pressed onto young women as a route to beauty. Unfair & Lovely (a take on the skin lightening cream Fair & Lovely) are starting a movement to get women to embrace their natural skin tone and show it off. Originally starting in South Asian this movement is now taking off worldwide and I couldn’t be happier.
