A really honest conversation from the phenomenal journal Vestoj. How LC was fired was rude and disrespectful after a long and loyal career and quite frankly the sad thing is that it is not an isolated case but representative of an industry that spits you out when they find you no longer useful or relevant which happens to so many and often just becomes the gossip of that season at another obligatory fashion dinner. I sincerely hope LC goes on to new exciting fulfilling projects that make her feel good about herself and with those she works with and in the meantime I am thrilled and excited to see what the brilliant EE will do at the helm of British Vogue which we all know needed a shakeup to say the very least. Longevity in this business paired with good creative work is the goal but failure happens and I have learnt the most about myself from my epic spectacular fails even if at first it didn’t seem like it. I am also saying that at certain times in one’s life it really is ok to not be ok and to openly express that because there is no shame in that. Finally to truly move forward from a fail its not enough to just acknowledge it but it’s also how we assess it, move on and approach new things differently and hopefully with a positive journey and result.
