Coqui Coqui is probably my favourite hotel & spa that I was fortunate enough to visit earlier this year & I went to the beach front of Tulum & also a sleepy Colonial town called Valladolid. Anyone off to the Yucatan in Mexico needs to stop off here to experience luxury & attention to detail at it’s best not to mention an exceptional personal service. There are 4 locations and the pics above are from their single room residence in Valladolid. They have a beautiful Perfumeria which I spent time in buying perfume (tobacco flower) a candle (sandalwood & tropical woods) as well as products such as soap, bath oil, shampoo, hand cream, & linen spray. There is a spa with amazing treatments; massage, facials & on request private yoga & pilates class. Afterwards one can sit in the beautiful garden surrounded by fragrant lime trees listening to the birds, sipping tea and nibbling on hand made chocolates flavoured with essential oils. The power of scent & memory is so visceral with just one spritz of the perfume it takes me right back to my happy place.
