The current exhibition on in New York at the Museum of Modern Art entitled Punk: Chaos to Couture is so worth seeing if you’re in the city. Looking at all aspects of Punk culture the Costume Institute brings together so many different elements throughout fashion from the ‘do-it-yourself’ punk aesthetic with safety pins and studs contrasting with the highest level of ‘made-to-measure’ Couture. Punk is a major part of my inspiration for a lot of shoots I work on and the make up that I create as the use of dark graphic lines and ‘could-care-less’ attitude can always be translated into a beautiful shot.  With imagery of the Sex Pistols and Patti Smith sitting next to work from David Sims and Peter Lindbergh it really shouldn’t be missed, go on be a rebel and head to MOMA.
