This shoot is taken from the August 2013 issue of Vogue Russia and was shot by photographer Catherine Servel, styling by Svetlana Tanakina, hair by Damien Boissinot, manicure by Typhaine Kersual and our hot girl at the minute model Marie Piovesan. We shot it in an amazing modernist penthouse apartment with incredible views of Paris. The story was a modern and elegant fine jewellery story. I wanted the beauty to be classic but have a slight edge to it or to feel a little off to contrast the richness of the jewels and to keep Marie looking young and cool but still chic & I was inspired by fashion icon Stella Tennantl. Skin was thoroughly prepped with a facial massage using Simply Divine Botanics Facial Beauty Oil to boost circulation and then moisturised with Laura Mercier Oil Free Day Lotion before blotting any excess off with a tissue and adding MAC Fast Response Eye Cream under the eyes to combat any puffiness. I wanted to create a light but flawless base so I used Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation and then YSL Touche Eclat under the eyes to brighten and around the nose to neutralize any redness. For definition around the eyes I used a MAC Eyeshadow in Copperplate all over the lid and in the crease for a soft, matte diffused look then added MAC Eyeshadow in Carbon close along the lash line making sure not to elongate it too far at the edges. Lashes were intensely curled and then layered up with Diorshow Blackout Mascara. To create a glowing highlight I used baby oil to highlight areas on the face and body and wanted it super shiny as the natural daylight was so beautiful and there were glass ceiling to floor patio doors everywhere and I wanted to complement that and add an architectural element.. Brows were brushed up and ignored and finally a hint of of Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Colour in Pink Rose kept the lips naturally flushed.
