Despite the snow I experienced in New York last week, when I arrived back in London I could see it was officially springtime. Balmy temperatures sitting around 18 degrees and cherry blossom out in full force. I love the scent of cherries, it’s that mix between fresh and spring like combined with the childhood sickly sweet memory of 99p lip balms from Boots. But back on the grown up track there are some products which I go back to again and again especially for that cherry hit that I wanted to share. From L’Occitane their cherry blossom collection covers everything from shower gel to hand cream to a solid perfume you pop in your purse, you can surround yourself with cherries. Also for fancy showering try finishing your routine with Sothys’ Enchanting Hydrating Body Mist which contains Cherry Blossom & Lotus. For that cherry flush on your cheeks that suggests you’ve been out for a run already on this nice spring day (not glued to your laptop inside) I like Josie Maran’s Argan Infinity Lip & Cheek Creamy Oil in Always Cherry or you could use Stila’s Cherry Crush Lip & Cheek Stain. With lips there are a million variations on cherry flavoured products but by favourite has to be Fresh Sugar Cherry Tinted Lip Treatment and then a good slick of Tom Ford’s Lipstick in Cherry Lush (OK this isn’t cherry scented but is still essential). I’m also not adverse to a classic Cherry Carmex. Finally I like to include my manicure, Essie Cherry Pop for a sheer, natural colour or Chanel Rouge Noir for that perfect black cherry.
