With my many trips around the globe over the years there are a lot cities I know pretty well so I still get excited when I find amazing independent cosmetics stores. Recently I discovered the Mazzolari pharmacies in Milan, beautiful stores which are not just regular spots to pick up your prescription but full of exciting new products as well as wide range of cosmetics & fragrance including their own creations. My favourite products from their store that I tried recently is the Yuki No Shingyu range which is natural and just make your skin feel amazing, the Eye Masks & Collagen Gel Masks are the best. The super luxe interior and the addition of a spa makes you never want to leave. In Paris Buly 1803 just opened in St Germain which again gives you that feeling of being steeped in luxury and stepping back through time with dark wood finishes and bottles lining the walls. From the guys that brought you Cire Trudon I expect nothing less than utter perfection. A beautiful pharmacy is also to be found in London, one of my favourite pharmacies which has been around since 1790 and served the royal family for years is Dr Harris & Co. I love going in there and seeing all the niche products. I love their own brand Lip Balm which has cocoa butter & methol and also their Almond Oil Skinfood which is really nourishing. Finally, it’s not new but it can’t go by unmentioned, C.O. Bigelow in NY. The mecca of brands with everything from Tracie Martyn, Weleda & Kate Somerville to homeopathic remedies and traditional apothecary. If you love a good drugstore, this will be heaven.
