This epic shoot is from the new issue of Self Service Magazine and features Lara Stone, Malgosia Bela, Ginta Lapina & Lily Mcmenamy shot by Walter Pfeiffer, styling from Suzanne Koller & hair by Luke Hersheson. For each of the girls I wanted to create individual characters based on actresses including Sharon Tate, Lauren Hutton & Twiggy and we shot in some incredible locations including the Corbusier Villa Savoye.
For Lara’s look I used a very light base as I wanted the look to be fresh and skin to feel real so I buffed in Cle de Peau Silky Cream Foundation before concealing lightly with YSL Touche Eclat under the eyes and Cle de Pea Concealer around the nose. For a neutral but contoured eye I worked with the Tom Ford Eye Colour Quad in Cocoa Mirage using the lightest shade in the centre of the eyelid and then the darker shade through the socket for a defined crease. MAC Individual Lashes were added to the top lash line only and then layers of Dior Addict It Lash Mascara for fluttery defined lashes. Brows were groomed and lightly filled in with Kevyn Aucoin Precision Brow Pencil and cheeks were sculpted with Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate using the contour colour under the cheekbone and the highlight on the tops of the cheekbones and bridge of nose. For a perfect nude lip I pressed on Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick in Vanilla Truffle.
For Malgosia she has such flawless skin I just used a small amount of Sunday Riley Effortless Breathable Tinted Primer blended in with a damp sponge before lightly concealing with RMS Un Cover Up Concealer. As I wanted a more bronzed feeling to this look I used soft caramel colours on the eyelid from the YSl Ombre 5 Lumieres in Tawny before adding a few individual Eyelure Individual False Lashes and then layering up on Guerlain Volume Creating Mascara. Eyebrows were simply groomed and filled in with MAC Eyebrows in Lingering. To amp up her glowing skin I used Chanel Soleil de Tan across the cheeks and in the temples and along the jawline before highlighting with RMS Living Luminizer. For a sheer frosted lip I used Lipstick Queen The Metals in Nude Metal.
With Lily I wanted her eyes to appear even bigger so I added lots of individual lashes before layers of Tom Ford Ultra Length Mascara. Across the eyelids I used Bobbi Brown Eyeshadows in Toast & Wheat before defining the upper and lower lash line with MAC Eyeshadow in Carbon. For the base I wanted the skin to look flawless but not to feel too heavy so I used Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua with a densely packed buffing brush to really work the product in. I then added warmth to the cheeks with &Other Stories Cheek & Lip Tint in Pucker Coral before using the same shade on the lips for that perfect coral.
With Ginta’s look I wanted to make her into a modern Twiggy but to avoid it looking too dated I stayed away from false lashes and instead worked with her own building up layers of MAC Haute & Naughty Mascara. For a defined socket I first drew in the line with Clinique Kohl Shaper in Black Coffee before blending it out with a soft pencil brush and then defined the top lash liner with RMK Ingenious Gel Liner. The base I kept light and creamy with Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Tinted Treatment and just a touch of Laura Mercier Secret Concealer where needed. For a pale nude lip that still felt warm I used Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo in 1 Nude.
