I am so sad that  I missed this on the big screen but thanks to iTunes I managed to download David Cronenberg’s genius film Maps To The Stars. This is a dark look at celebrity and the desire for fame all in LA. The script is fantastic and Julianne Moore totally nails a desperate fucked up star. Evan Bird is perfect as Benjie a spoilt out of control child to teen star. John Cusack is the self help guru that really needs the most help himself & Robert Pattinson may finally have shed his Twilight shadow. Lastly Mia Wasikowska is just luminous as the compelling and disturbed Agatha and I predict that cool indie gals for years to come will bite her style for Halloween costumes. Get those gloves now & enjoy this witty, dark masterpiece.
