There are a couple of things in my kit both personally and professionally that can just change it up a bit, those little gems that take you from demure to bad ass in a couple of seconds so I thought I’d share these with you. First up is an oil, not just used to moisturise dry skin, cuticles etc… dab a little bit of oil onto cheekbones for a glow or just a little in the centre of the eyelid over a smoky eye to take it into Joan Jett territory. I love the travel sized roll on Marula Oil to have in your purse or Dr Jackson’s Coconut Melt that liquifies at body temperature (or also on a really hot day, careful when opening it in the back of a cab). Another dewy genius is the good old facial mist such as Creme de la Mer The Mist, keep in the fridge and spritz over makeup for a little refresh when you need it. Whilst sometimes its good to have a sheen there are times where you also want it matte, my absolute favourite is Madina Crystal Glass Powder which has a silicone formula, dust it over your tzone or you can also pat it over lipstick with a finger to make a lipstick really matte. If you don’t have a brush to hand you can also try The Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick across your tzone to mattify on the go. Finally onto the eyes, if you’re the type of person who likes to get everything possible out of a product (who doesn’t) then get yourself Aveda’s Colour Options Eyeshadow Transformer, a couple of drops will turn your eyeshadow into a liquid eyeliner or cream shadow. And then if you want, add a bit of sparkle. Ulta do a Glitter Eye Top Coat which is sheer enough to go over other eyeshadows or try the black light transformers from The Estee Edit’s Eyeshadow Palette.
