I saw it recently when Alicia Keys decided not to wear makeup to the VMA’s and recently it’s coming up more and more where women have decided to opt for more natural looks or go makeup free entirely. I’m by no means against makeup, of course I love it but I think it’s important that in a general day to day the makeup we wear is there to enhance and not to cover. It’s something that I have witnessed working a lot in Paris and it always looks so effortless and chic and it of course starts with a killer skincare regime. Work out whether your skin prefers natural or hi tech and then go from there, an amazing oil such as Dr Jackson 03 Face Oil or super science with SK-II Facial Treatment Mask. It’s not a question of rejecting makeup entirely it’s giving yourself the choice to apply it as and when you feel like it and to leave it out when you don’t such as this shoot I did for Under The Influence showing the transformative aspect of makeup.
