Lara Bohinc new campaign. The model is the gorgeous Daisy Lowe who is a friend and a muse to me because she represents real beauty and is just a naturally gorgeous girl. The Photographer is Jon Compson and Federico Ghezzi did the hair. It was a magical shoot at The Parlour in Sketch and we were all inspired by vintage Biba advertising and the imagined languid decadence of a forbidden opium den. I wanted the makeup to look rich and sumptuous but still feel fresh and modern and I broke the makeup rule on a jewellery shoot of if the jewellery is gold don’t use gold. Normally the gold makeup would compete and fight and lose to the gold jewellery. In this case it worked. So as I always seem to find: rules are made to be broken! I used lots of rich gold pigments on the eyes and a natural matte skin and then a glossy sheer red lip. Please see the entire campaign and drool over Daisy and all of my dear pal Lara’s gorgeous collection. I am also obsessed with the scarves that they covered pillows with and used as head wraps. I wear mine all the time. www.larabohinc.com
