I recently watched one of those You Tube tutorials on how to contour your face and after an hour in front of the mirror with an army of products in varying shades I emerged feeling like a North London Tyra Banks. Gollum has a lot of shades going on, its very much a heroin chic look and this may have been where you went astray. Keep it simple with one shade darker and stick with creams as they blend more easily, try MAC Pro Sculpting Cream. Blend the colour just under your cheek bones, into your temples and along your jaw line with a big soft brush. Blend blend blend. And blend some more. Add a highlight to cheekbones, bridge of nose and cupids bow with a cream highlighter such as Benefit’s Watts Up. Go get smizing.
