This shoot is from the new February 2014 issue of Vogue China and was shot by Katja Rahlwes with gorgeous model Elisabeth Erm styled by Patti Wilson, hair by Olivier de Vriendt and nails by Elsa Durrens. This look is pure sci fi film noir meets futuristic luxe hollywood boudoir, think Blade Runner meets Lana Turner with a bit of Futurama thrown in for a fun ref! I especially love the silver & gold foil minx nails. I wanted the skin to have a really matte finish so I prepped with ThisWorks In Transit Camera Close Up left on for a few minutes to really soak into the skin with Creme de la Mer The Eye Concentrate and The Lip Balm for a luxurious treatment as well. Before starting the makeup I bleached the brows to create that futuristic sci fi look and make the eyes really stand out. Once prepped I used Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer to give the perfect base and then used Cle De Peau’s Refining Fluid Foundation and Concealers to give a flawless finish making sure the result was totally matte with MAC Blot Powder. I created a graphic shape on the eye above using Laura Mercier Creme Eye Liner in Noir to sketch a light shape and then Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Charcoal which faded out so it actually was soft and a little blown out at the edges. The lashes were key so I used lashings and lashings of Tom Ford Extreme Mascara in Black on all lashes. The lips were a soft peach stain using Chanel Rouge Coco in La Pausa so that they were matte but moisturised.
