It takes a long time to really find a perfume that you love and often you spend your younger years going through many varieties so you don’t always want to be spending a fortune every few months only to change your mind after a week. So I wanted to address the high street scents that let you have some fun with your perfume whilst not breaking the bank. First up is the signature scent Arquiste from J.Crew which comes in a perfume & rollerball that evokes Exhibition by 31 Women, the first modern art show of all female artists in the United States, which was curated by Peggy Guggenheim in 1943 and includes Bulgarian Rose & Patchouli. If you’re a fan of Byredo head over to &OtherStories to check out their range of fragrance as the same nose Ben Gorham is behind both. Expect delicate floral notes and fresh fruity scents. If you like a more musky scent then have a look at Zara, the scent isn’t as long lasting as the more expensive brands but the notes are warming and woody. Finally a teen favourite for anyone born after the 60’s, The Body Shop range of eau de parfum is still as relevant now with everything ranging from traditional White Musk to Indian Jasmine. Hopefully some of these can be of assistance if you are on a self imposed ban from the Liberty fragrance hall.
