I wanted to post this to give a little shout out to Alicia Keys for deciding not to wear makeup to the VMA’s. Obviously within this job I am surrounded by makeup every day but I have always believed it is an individual’s choice whether they wear it or not and also how much they do or don’t choose to wear. It’s hard the pressure women feel to adorn themselves, especially those in the public eye. Is this also a reaction to the trend that has been championed by Kardashians and their fans and all their Instagram makeup artists who turn themselves into a hyper real version of themselves. Is natural beauty finally going to have a come back? Is this the start of the backlash? Viva la Revolution!
