This shoot is from the March issue of Vogue Japan and features Vanessa Moody shot by Ezra Petronio with styling by Sissy Vian and hair by Pierpaolo Lai. Vanessa has such an effortlessly cool look so I wanted to keep the makeup quite raw and with a tough boyish brow. To start with I wanted the skin super hydrated so I placed Suqqu’s Face Stretch Mask on the face for 15 minutes to plump and rejuvenate the skin before massaging in any excess product with my hands, this followed with Suqqu Moisture Repair Essence which provides the perfect base and seals in the goodness from the mask. Under eyes were hydrated with This Works Perfect Eyes Recovery Cream and lashes curled with a Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler gently heated with a hairdryer to set the lashes. For a very light base I buffed in Bare Minerals Prime Time BB Primer Cream to even out the skin tone and then concealed any redness with Cle de Peau Beaute Concealer, for that slightly damp feeling to the skin I misted over Caudalie Beauty Elixir. For strong brows I brushed up and filled in with Chanel Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil keeping them straight and boyish, finally to hydrate the lips without mega shine I just used a swipe of Aerin Rose Balm.
