This shoot is a mens’ beauty story for V Man of Mathias Lauridsen shot by Sharif Hamza, styling by Clare Byrne and hair by Shingo Shibata. The shoot looked at high tech beauty and skincare treatments that are leading in the industry for men who like to look their best. The first image recreates the diamond facial and cryotherapy which uses low temperatures to isolate and destroy damaged cells leaving only the healthy to regenerate. The second image looks at infrared treatments which are beneficial in treating damaged skin texture and acne prone skin without being invasive. The third image is all about the charcoal face mask. Any mask with charcoal in is fantastic at extracting dirt from the skin and minimizing enlarged pores as well as oil control for those with a shinier look than is desired. The fourth image taps into the sheet mask trend which has come over from Korea and Japan, I looked at original medical masks which are used to treat severely damaged skin, now they are for infusing moisture and cell repairing serums to the skin. Image five is all about oil massage facials. Anyone who has worked with me knows I do these on every shoot as it stimulates the circulation and boosts collagen production, someone we all need. Image six was something I found so fascinating, there is a trend for city boys to get Botox in the palms of their hands to stop them sweating when giving a firm handshake, insane! Finally the last image is about the gold facial treatment, an ultimate luxury for any high flying trader.
