Highlighting, strobing, illuminating etc everyone wants to shine bright like a diamond so I thought I’d share some of my highlighter favourites. The ones that I really rely on when I have had zero sleep and still want to dazzle the world with my super glowing cheekbones that distract from the dark circles. First up you need to choose your texture be it liquid, cream or powder, each have different benefits you just want to stay away from anything too glittery. This isn’t a teenage disco. For liquid I love Tom Ford Illuminating Primer as you can add it to your base or use it on cheekbones, it’s quite glossy and with zero shimmer so just gives you a subtle lift and hint of dewiness. For something that packs a little more punch and is also great on collarbones try NARS Illuminator in Hot Sand for light to medium skin tones or Laguna for darker skin tones. Next up a cream, my favourite is the legendary Madina Milano Chic & Shine which is just the perfect amount of sheen that gives a true beam of highlighting power to cheekbones. For a more easily accessible alternative try Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Creme Highlighter in Moonstone or Topaz, I’m sure many of you are familiar with the liquid version this just now comes in handy cream compact. Finally onto powders. There are zillions of highlighting powders out there so I’m sure everyone will preach gospel about one or the other but personally I give props to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. It’s a super soft highlight that is long lasting but not so intense you can see it across the street. So whichever you choose just please remember the golden rule – BLEND BLEND BLEND. Right, now you’re ready, enjoy.
