This shoot is from the autumn winter 2017 issue of Purple Magazine shot by Lena C Emery featuring Anna de Rijk, styling Linda Engelhardt, hair Tina Outen and casting by Simone Schofer. For this shoot I wanted to look at the different faces of a woman and create a beautiful, intimate and cinematic look with variations. To start with I prepped the skin using a Jurlique skin balancing face oil and giving a good massage to get it really glowing before sealing in moisture with Jurlique balancing day cream. Under eyes were hydrated with SK-II power eye cream and lips moisturised with La Mer lip balm. I really wanted to keep Anna’s skin fresh and a bit raw so I skipped on foundation and instead concealed lightly with Bobbi Brown creamy concealer. For a couple of the looks i worked with Black Track by MAC cream liner to create a small cat eye and then smudged it underneath for one of the looks. For the bolder eyeshadow I worked with a Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Khaki smudge stick for something worn in and also more dramatic. Even though it was shot in black and white I like the depth of a red lipstick so used classic red Chanel Rouge Charnel for a perfect lip. For one shot I added intensity to the brows with pencil by MAC. For the final looks I built up a series using Make Up Forever Palette 12 flash color Case working in a painterly way.
